Some might think my interest in bugs and spiders is weird but I have always found them fascinating.

When I was a teenager, I got my first invertebrate pet. (A cockroach I named fluffy.) I had the animal for about 5 hours, till my mom saw it and demanded that I take it back to the pet store. I tried explaining how they were easy to take care of and made great pets, but my mom would not hear it. She had this misconception that anything with 6 or more legs was “icky and gross.” That was one of the main reasons why I wanted to make this site. I want people to be able to see how wonderful these creatures really are. That even though you might not understand them, these creatures deserve to be respected just as much as any four-legged friend. With education, people can get over there fear and realize what great, though unconventional, pets invertebrates can be.

The other reason for this site is because I think invertebrates are pretty cool.
